This would have to be one of the oddest blog titles I have written, but odd is good, and so are these illustrations.

The artist (Brian R. William) has basically gone off, found a few dead bird species, and dressed them up in clothes appropriate to the era in which they bit the dust. What inspires such a thing is beyond me, but sometimes the obscure needs no rationale, and slightly anthropomorphised birds tends to fit the bill.
