Introducing our values

Here at UF we put a lot of effort into building a strong culture. It's one of our company strengths. We even have a rotating in-house Head of UF Culture. So we can relate to Objective and their focus on working on their company values, which were presented recently at their yearly conference. They engaged us to help them tell the story as well as create the presentation.

Our goal was to bring our Values to life, for people to read them, engage with them and feel like they really understand who we are and what we stand for. During the project, the team at UF really were an extension of our team. They helped us articulate our story, then created the visual representation of our values. As a management team we agonised over every word and every image, seeking the right balance to make sure that our story was being told. From experience this doesn’t go down too well with your average creative team – we really to the really dug into the detail. The UF team took it in their stride and the end result was amazing! The whole team was a pleasure to work with.

Telling the story

Once we had finalised the copy and were happy with the tone we had to ensure that it translated well with the right type treatments and imagery to pace the storytelling.

You’ll notice there are at least three elements coming together to tell the story – a strong typeface to introduce the values, a hand-drawn icon to bring your attention to some juicy bits, as well as the right image. And don’t we know sometimes the right image is oh-so-hard to find!

Values matter

Values are the basis from which a great company culture is created and nurtured. Values affect the lives of team members on a day-to-day basis, and determine an organization’s ability to do business (well) over the long term.

It’s always great to see attention being given to what makes a business strong at its core.
