Account Manager
Position summary
We are an independently owned and run Sydney-based design studio, dedicated to crafting impactful and unconventional brands around the world. Our small team delivers big work, with a shared passion for design and its ability to shift industry norms and redefine category expectations.
We are looking for someone with 1-2 years of account management experience, ideally in a creative studio, to join our team. We value a balanced perspective and believe that good work thrives in good environments. Our studio is close-knit, collaborative, and relaxed, but our output is razor-sharp.
As an Account Manager at Universal Favourite, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing client relationships and working with our Client Service Director to oversee the successful execution of brand design projects. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your clients, ensuring their needs are met while collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver project-based work. This role demands strategic thinking, project management skills, and a passion for exceptional design and cultivating impactful brands.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
Running brand, design, and digital projects from start to finish – from briefing, and scheduling to closing projects and invoicing
Collaborating closely with our Client Service Director on key projects
Serving as the key point of contact for clients, our design team, and external contractors on each of your projects
Tracking scope, deliverables, and client requests to ensure smooth project progress
Expanding your design and industry knowledge across various categories and project types (product, brand, packaging, digital, photography shoot coordination, etc.)
Weekly resource planning and project status check-ins with the Client Service Director
Consistently coordinating the project team and external suppliers to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project delivery
Key responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with clients
Project Management: Coordinating project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure on-time and within-budget project execution
Creative Briefing: Effectively communicating client goals, objectives, and feedback to the design team
Quality Assurance: Ensuring all deliverables meet high standards of quality and align with client expectations
Scope Tracking: Monitoring project budgets and resourcing to adhere to planned project scope
In-house projects: Supporting studio marketing and social comms
Problem Resolution: Proactively addressing any issues or challenges during project execution with the support of the Client Service Director
Business Opportunities: Identifying additional service opportunities or solutions with existing clients
